As a Senior Pharmacy Care Technician, you will interact with providers, pharmacies, and members to review and advise on medication adherence strategies and solutions. Employees in this position will work as critical part of the Quality Field Operations team, aligning to geographical regions that care for a high volume of Medicare membership. The Senior Pharmacy Care Technician is responsible for supporting care management related pharmacy programs with a focus on improved health outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with an integrated health care delivery team for pharmacy related practice quality improvement
• Discuss medication regimens and preventative screenings with members and their care givers
• Assess patients for medication adherence barriers and develop a plan to maximize patients’ medication success through improving or maintaining adherence to medications
• Advise patients on alternate prescription fill strategies of retail versus mail order and options for financial assistance
• Connect members to plan resources
• Coordinate care to ensure members have access to the medications and services they need
• Document member, provider, and pharmacy consultations into internal data base
• Effectively participate in and contribute to staff meetings and other staff development opportunities and interdepartmental work groups
• Identify areas of improvement where systems modifications could result in operational advancements and efficiencies
• Engage with local providers and pharmacies to improve both Part D quality ratings and member outcomes
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
• High school Diploma/GED (or higher) OR 3+ years of pharmacy technician experience
• 3+ years of pharmacy related experience
• Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Ability to travel 25% of the time
Preferred Qualifications:
• Health Plan (Managed Care) experience
• MTM (Medication Therapy Management) experience
• HEDIS and CMS star rating experience
• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician License in the state of Pennsylvania
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB)
